
Dan St. John

Daniel St. John, a U.S. Navy Veteran, serves as a Behavioral Health Veteran Community Care Coordination Specialist with Illinois Joining Forces (IJF). In this role, he helps Veterans and their families across Illinois connect with essential resources and support.

Daniel served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1991–1994 before devoting 21 years to law enforcement as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator, and school resource officer. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). His family’s legacy of service includes his grandfather, who fought in World War II, his father-in-law who served in Vietnam, his brother in the Navy, and three of his children currently serving in the Army and Air Force National Guard. He is also the founder of a veteran-owned business that donates 20% of its profits to local organizations supporting struggling and homeless Veterans.

Reflecting on his mission, Daniel shares, “My mission is to bring light and comfort into the lives of Veterans and their families. I strive to build stability and hope by connecting those who have served with the resources and support they deserve. Every step forward is a way to honor their sacrifice and foster a brighter, more compassionate future.”
