December 12, 2013
The Illinois National Guard, Illinois Joining Forces, Children’s Home + Aid and the St. Clair County Bar Association present a special session for Veteran’s Court, Law Enforcement and community-based legal service of military Service Members, Veterans, and their families. No previous experience or prerequisite is necessary. The full day training starts with an overview of military culture, the emotional cycle of deployment, what the military does vs. what community organizations and providers can do, and clinical approaches to working with this unique population. We hope this introductory session will build a foundation so that more, detailed sessions will follow.
